Franklin D. Roosevelt Mock Elections were held in school on 3rd May 2024, to give students the opportunity to experience the democratic process. By participating in a simulated elections, students got the chance to learn about the candidates who opted for various positions for the Student Council for the current session i.e. for School Captain,Head Boy ,Head Girl ,House Captain, Sports Captain and so on.Students also understood the importance of making a decision when casting their vote.
Teachers assisted the students in the voting process and ensured that the election run smoothly. Various students participated in the election trying for various positions. The primary objective of conducting Mock Elections is to educate students about the electoral process, promote civic participation and encourage students to become informed and engaged citizens.
The Mock Elections were conducted by the Humanities Department under the able guidance of Principal Mrs Rupali Chaudhary.
Discussions were held to analyse the results and understand the reason behind student choices. The mock elections were a resounding success, providing a valuable learning experience for students, fostering a sense of community and engagement within the school. The elected representatives of Student Council will surely work together in coordination to promote positive culture in school and help in keeping up its reputation and good name.
