A highly engaging and insightful seminar on Type 2 Diabetes was organized at Vardhman Academy, Railway Road, Meerut, for the students. As per CBSE Circular for – establishing sugar boards in schools ‘to monitor and reduce sugar intake among children’. The session shed light on the growing incidence of this lifestyle disease among youth and the urgent need for awareness and prevention.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Shishir Kumar Jain a Pediatrician, chairman IMA UP, Vice president Meerut nursing Home association, President Bharat Vikas Parishad Meerut Mahanagar. Sir focused on the causes, symptoms, and prevention of Type 2 Diabetes, emphasizing the critical role of diet, exercise, and mindful living. From busting myths to offering practical health tips, the session was both interactive and educational.
Principal Ms Rupali Cahudhary encouraged students and enlighten them to reflect on their eating habits, screen time and physical activity—highlighting how small daily choices can have a long-term impact on health.
