Inter-House Badminton Tournament
Vardhman Academy, Railway Road, Meerut, organized its much-awaited Inter-House Badminton Tournament for classes IX to XII with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The tournament featured spirited participation from all four houses: Ashoka, Jawahar, Shivaji, and Tagore.
The event commenced with a formal inauguration by the Principal, Ms.Rupali Chaudhary who emphasized the importance of physical fitness and teamwork. The matches were conducted across different categories, including singles and doubles for both boys and girls.
Over the course of the tournament, the students showcased commendable skill, agility, and determination. The audience witnessed thrilling rallies, sharp smashes, and strategic plays, making each match an exciting spectacle.
After a series of gripping semifinals and finals, Arpit Kumar (class XI) emerged winner in singles while Kanishk Kumar (class IX) of Shivaji House was the runner up. Similarly Vishi Raj (class X) of Tagore house was the winner of Girls singles event and Sobiya of Jawahar house was the runner up. In the Boys Doubles event Arpit Kumar, Naman Jain of Ashoka house emerged winners and Arnav Sharma, Adhiraj Singh of Jawahar house were runner up. On the other hand Thatri Chaudhary, Radhika of Shivaji House were winners in girls doubles while Vishi Pal, Siya Nagar Tagore house were the runner up. All houses put strong performances, contributing to the competitive spirit of the event.
The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the winners and runners-up were awarded medals and certificates. The Principal Ms. Rupali Chaudhary congratulated all participants for their dedication and sportsmanship and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence both on and off the court.
The Inter-House Badminton Tournament not only highlighted the athletic talent within the school but also reinforced values of discipline, perseverance, and unity among students.
