With a great sense of enthusiasm, The highly anticipated Annual Sports Day (2024-25) was celebrated at Vardhman Academy, Railway Road, Meerut on November 27, 2024. The event kicked off with a welcome song, setting the tone for an energetic and vibrant sportsday. A warm welcome extended to our esteemed Chief Guest, President Mr. Anil Kumar Jain, Secretary Mr. Atul Kumar Jain, Treasurer Mr. Vinay Kumar Jain, Joint Secretary Mr. Pawan Kumar Jain & Mr. Rahul Jain and all the members of managing committee aushering in an air of anticipation and honor. The chief guest addressed the gathering, inspiring participants and emphasizing the significance of sports in character building.
The athletes showcased discipline and unity during the march past, a visual spectacle of teamwork and determination. Athletes took the sportsmanship oath, pledging to compete with integrity and uphold the spirit of fair play. The symbolic lighting of the torch marked the official commencement of the sports day, symbolizing the pursuit of excellence. The declaration,opening the sports meet, unleashing the excitement and energy of the various sports events. Aspiritual Yoga was performed by students. Different poses with different assanas wereperformed. A vibrant Punjabi dance performance added a burst of colour and energy to thesports day celebration. Skaters showcased their skating talent through ‘Girls and Boys‘ 100 mand 400 m relay Race of class I to V.
The major attraction and the fun feeling part of the sports day was the ‘Races’. Theme of the races was ‘The Woods’Heart-pounding races like Bunny race, Kangaroo race, Penguin race, Monkey race, Butterfly and Honey bee race, Frog race and tribal race thrilled and entertained the audience. Relayraces showcased the speed and endurance of athletes. Athletes who excelled wereacknowledged and rewarded, celebrating their achievements in various categories.
The medal distribution ceremony was a culmination of hard work and dedication. Cheers echoed as proud parents, teachers, and students stood witness to the recognition of excellence.
The sparkling medals around the necks of the winners symbolized not just achievement but the spirit of sportsmanship. The event concluded with a note of gratitude, acknowledging everyone who contributed to the success of the sports day meet, leaving memories to cherish until the next exhilarating celebration. Our honourable Principal Mrs. Rupali Chaudhary shared her insights, emphasizing the importance of sports and holistic development in the lives of the students. She appreciated the sportsmanship and spirit of the students. She congratulated the winners and motivated the students to do their best in studies as well as in sports. As the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving a golden glow, the Sports Day Meet for Classes Pre Nursery to V concluded.
