A one day workshop on 'Active Learning' was organised on 7th February 2024 by CBSE at Vardhman Academy, Railway Road Meerut. The most renowned educationist Mr Sudhanshu Shekhar, Principal of K.L. International School Meerut , the District Training Coordinator who is known for achieving the CBSE Teachers Award in 2014,The National Teachers Award in 2023, who has set benchmark for excellence in the field of education, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. His esteemed presence glorified the event and added vibrancy to the humble gathering.
More than 50 teachers from different schools of Meerut participated in this workshop. Mrs Sangeeta Rekhi and Mr Rahul Chawla were the resource person of this workshop. They introduced various techniques combined with creative thinking for effective teaching and learning. Various activities were performed to get a grip over innovative learning skills. The teachers learnt active learning strategies and how they can be used as an effective means to help students. Innovative teaching skills were explained to teachers to help students develop penchant for studies .All the teachers felt very complacent after the training program concluded.
President sir Shri Anil Kumar Jain and Secretary sir Shri Atul Kumar Jain appreciated this effort by CBSE. Principal Mrs Rupali Chaudhary emphasized that the onus of academic development of students lies on mentors and they should keep upgrading their skills and knowledge to handle the challenges of a dynamic teaching environment.
